Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 live first look
Posted by josheli Comments (25)

MobileBurn.com – While Samsung introduced a new version of its 10.1 inch tablet, the Galaxy Tab 10.1, it also introduced the newer, and smaller, Tab 8.9, which is a fair bit easier to handle. The 8.9 features a super slim profile and a dual-core processor and weighs next to nothing. We check out some of the new TouchWiz user interface extensions that Samsung has layered on top of Android 3.0 Honeycomb in this video. More info: www.mobileburn.com

good one. Its shame that some one stealing? the tab.
What I like about this tab is the 8.9 screen size, and the 32gb $569 Price. much cheaper then the? 32gb iPad2.
@walter0bz that’s why i said “to me” but? again that’s why they make more than one type so everyone is happy
surprised that they do Note(5.3), 7.7, 8.9, 11.1 … perhaps they’ll just keep whichever 2 are most popular, or maybe they’re? apple-dodging with the odd sizes
@antipeacemilitias – so now there is a high spec Galaxy Tab 7.7 on the way.
i think i’m? more likely to carry/use a small tablet in situations where i wouldn’t use a small laptop?
@walter0bz to be honest i never looked into it but if you ask me 7 inch screen is small? to me for a tablet type portable i woulg go with the 10.1
@antipeacemilitias but do they do one with tegra2/dualcore?
I just? dont like touchwiz, thats the only reason i´d not buy one
@CatXFlame then just buy the seven? incher
Love that journalist integrity- Keep on reporting with that alarm blaring? away! LOL
= ]
I? got 7″inch Galaxy Tab, should i buy this 8.9?
Information Advancement is what we should be worried about. Any company that is able to advance this quest is worth appreciating.
Changing the way people communicate and how information? is made available to our finger tip is amazing.
Competition is inevitable in real life. At the end of all these, user satisfaction is what matters.
nice? tab!
I will wait for this? one, fit inside my jacket, 10.1 is kinda big to carry, i like the 7 but its froyo (IF 7 IS HONEYCOMB 3.1, that is cool but will Samsung update?
This will definitely be my next tablet. Hope Samsung can optimize the touchwiz interface? in time for release.
@philipz794 It said? that the galaxy tab 8.9 and 10.1′s will ship with stock honeycomb but Samsung will offer an OPTIONAL upgrade later on to add touchwiz UX interface. Although i’m not sure if you actually need the touchwiz update to receive future updates.
Is it coming out on June 8?, Galaxy Tab Honeycomb 8.9, super thin? and dual processor, wow I need one….
@Mrcrazycoasterfan it lags because it isn’t? the FINISHED product
I dunno, it doesn’t seem overly laggy to me. Besides, after having so many people playing with it and opening applications, there? is no telling what was running in the background
@darkcg79 I am confident that at launch these issues will be fixed, or greatly improved.
and even if Samsung doesn’t do it, the community will most likely develop speedy custom ROMs minus? the touchwiz..
@darkcg79
You should know what you are talking about before you try and correct someone.
Even though android 3.0 is final, that doesn’t mean it is optimized for every single possible hardware configuration.
Samsung will have to work on tweaking the software for its chosen? chips.
and this job is complicated by their decision to add in their UX layer.
when this video was released these things were still many months away from launch so laggy or buggy software can be expected.
Bye? apple
@RicaardoSilva6 it’s the proprietary plug? at the buttom
“and somebody is stealing a galaxy tab”
*nobody seems to care*?
i think? it’s Touchwiz which is lagging, because everything which is stock Honeycomb doesn’t lag i think.. i hope you can choose between stock and touchwiz…
